Flagship Case Study: Mind in Motion International
Sports Diplomacy, Youth Leadership & Community Development in Patna, Bihar
Project Overview

In June 2026, I led Mind in Motion, an international sports diplomacy initiative based in Patna, Bihar, India. Over two intensive days, I introduced American football to seventy one students, thirty-five eighth graders and thirty-six ninth graders—through a curriculum that linked classroom strategy to on‑field execution. The program used athletic training as a structured lab for decision‑making, accountability, and collective problem‑solving, positioning sport as a tool for civic leadership and social cohesion.
Tactical Framework & Curriculum Design

- Interactive Multimedia Strategy – Designed and delivered a custom slideshow and video breakdowns to teach core rules, terminology, and tactical frameworks of American football to first‑time players.
- The Physics of Trust & Synchronization – Ran field drills that required each unit to “move as one,” training quarterbacks and receivers to rely on positional timing, route discipline, and mutual accountability under pressure.
- Institutional Certification – Closed the instructional phase by awarding official merit certificates to all seventy participants, formally recognizing rapid skill acquisition, resilience, and collaborative leadership.
Qualitative Assessment & Program Sustainability
To test whether American football could be sustained within the school’s ecosystem, I built a qualitative feedback loop into the program design. My team conducted structured video interviews with students, physical education staff, and campus leadership to evaluate perceived value, logistical feasibility, and long‑term interest. These interviews now serve as a baseline dataset for tracking how a new sport can be integrated into an existing curriculum in a low‑resource setting.
“There are two techniques: one, you buy fish for your friend and deliver it every day. Second, you teach him how to catch fish. You are training these children… As they grow and go to higher classes, they will train more. The sports teachers have also been trained, and they propose that they will develop a separate American football team in our school… It can go a long way.”

Future Roadmap: Scaling a Train‑the‑Trainer Model
- Train‑the‑Trainer Clinics – Equip the school’s physical education staff to run recurring skill sessions, allowing American football to grow organically without constant external intervention.
- Digital Peer Mentorship – Build an online advisory network between U.S. youth athletes and the Patna cohort to share updated playbooks, positional drills, and leadership frameworks on an annual cycle.
